Some things I am focusing on this month that I thought I would share with you.
Book of the Month - BadAss Habits by: Jen Sinero
I have read a few of her other books and LOVED them. I am all about creating healthy habits that stick. So reading another book about habits just makes sense for me. I will keep you posted via Instagram about this book and share my big takeaways with you over there.
Break Fast Shake: Still doing what I have always been doing. My go-to break-fast shake. This month I am focusing on simplicity. No fancy-schmancy this month. I am skipping the Coco Whip cream and nuts on the top and just enjoying all the dense nutrition already packed into my superfood shake. If you would like to find out more you can watch this video about how I make my Break Fast Shake:

Supplements I am LOVING:
I am always experimenting with new ways to improve and enhance what I am doing with this lifestyle. One way I am doing that is by adding in supplements.
Keep in mind that supplements are the BONUS and not always needed. You should always consider why you are adding in supplements and if they fit your lifestyle or your goals before adding anything extra in.
Along with all the other things I do regularly these two additions have really helped me take things to the next level. I will share the link to their site so you can check what Organifi has to offer. Check it out and see if there might be something for you that they offer that might help you to take your health to the next level.
I do have a code you can use to save yourself 15% on anything/anytime you order from their site. Just use code DYANN. This will work on all orders you place not just the first one. So make sure you save it. Nutrition is key. When you are ready to supplement make sure you are doing so with the best on the market. Organifi is one of the best.
My focus this month is to master the Turkish Get Up. If you are on Instagram you can check the move out here: Turkish Get Up with Rebecca Kennedy I am all about functional fitness these days and wanting to always be able to get myself up off the ground in the event that I fall down. If you have been hanging out with me for any length of time then you already know that I fall down, a lot. So this is a must master move for me and my future self.
I am also shooting or 1,400 workout minutes logged on my Peloton app in February. A mile in under 10 minutes on my Peloton Tread+ and a sub 30 minute 10K.
Age does not define what we are physically capable of doing. How we show up for ourselves and what we practice doing will define our capabilities. So let's continue showing up for practice.
My nutritional goals for February:
I am feeling pretty solid nutrition-wise. No major areas of change here. I will practice my GKI testing the week of February 22nd. If you are in my MidLife MindSet Shift Course mark your calendars.
During GKI week I focus on getting and keeping my body in a state of ketosis for health and body chemistry maintenance. It is always a lot of fun and a great learning experience. If you feel like you are ready to start monitoring your blood glucose and ketone readings I highly recommend the Keto-Mojo testing kit. It is what I have been using for a few years now. It is really easy to use and the information you get from testing is fun to monitor. You'll save 10% using that link I provided above.
This is what my GKI Week numbers typically look like:
I am really excited about how things are looking heading into month 2 of 2021. I hope you have great things going on in your life as well.
Always feel free to reach out if I can help in any way. We are in this together.
Fast long. Feast well. Train smart. Be authentically you.
